“Would you hold still, geez” Angel grumbled.  Tacking up Talon was never an easy task for Angel because the tokota knew every time she got all saddled up they were going out for a hunt.  Not only was the thrill of the chase exhilarating, but her handler always returned to her with a look of pure pride.  And well the meat was nice, too.  Her mouth watered at the thought and the drool that formed quickly froze to her jowls.  She hated that.  The brief moment of annoyance was enough of a distraction for the girl to finish adjusting all the straps on the tack to make sure she didn’t end up around Talon’s belly like the first time.  It was amusing to look back on, but at the time she felt foolish and angry at the tokota, who she got too annoyed with to properly tack up.  She learned her lesson then and there, and was confident now every time she rode the beast.  Normally she would be a bit apprehensive about such an important day, but after seeing Talon’s impressive Rite of Merit, she was sure tokota would do just as well this time around.  “Alright you big lug, let’s go” she said, and Talon was all too happy to oblige.
