Sophistifox SOLD by galianogangster Sophistifox SOLD by galianogangster
***Need the rest of the money to buy my Schnoodle puppy, so this guy's got to go :( I haven't been as attached to him as I would have hoped, unfortunately :/

Pepper claimed the leather chair to be his shortly after his arrival. He's going to be so spoiled :giggle:

Pepper is a whitemark fox, a color variation of the red fox. He was mounted by :iconleopardpaws: and went through a few homes before he arrived here, where he will most likely be permanently residing!

Disclaimer:
No, he is not alive. No, I did not kill him, nor did I buy him to be killed. I have high respects for all animals, dead and alive. I simply appreciate the beauty of bringing them back to life through taxidermy rather then letting them rot in the ground. Taxidermy lets them be loved and appreciated even after their death :3 I respect your opinion, so please respect mine.

For me, I usually only keep something if I have a strong connection to it
which is why I could not dream of letting Patience go :/
but If I don't feel that connection, I feel like they should go to a home where someone does, you know?

Oh my god, she's a dream! XD She hasn't had an accident in the house yet and she doesn't take very long outside to go. She doesn't say a peep when you put her in the crate and she would have slept through the night had my mom not forced her awake and outside for a potty break XD
She's amazing :3

Me too. I wish I had like a coyote or a fox or just one that needed a good home. :)
But that can be anything really, like from scraps to pelts. Not just soft mounts.

scrapping: the softmount deffinition of getting putting down. demounted and used for fly tying and crafts.

nobody refects these old boys anymore, the new in are nicer and better put together, and the older ones get tossed and traded in for the new.

like old cars.
they may be worth nothing now but they meant the whole world to some one at one point.

It's kind of a shame to see these really pretty mounts just not being appreciated. I understand that emergencies happen and some things have to give, but you'd think at least ONE person would hang on to it longer. As for me, I've only got one actual soft mount in my possession, it's a plain wild red fox, and it's not going anywhere ever. Even if I needed the money, it's not in good enough shape to sell, and besides that, it's 'mine.' Unless someone is an actual licensed fur seller, they oughtta try to appreciate what they have.

This. So much. I see so many mounts being passed around, not just ranch foxes but just the thing in itself that is saddening.

I have a good number of mounts, I sold one just recently that I just got for an emergency, and heck, emergencies happen but seeing the same mount being sold/resold in a short time is blah. And seeing people selling numerous mounts at a time is sad too unless you don't want to be in taxidermy anymore, or you're a dealer.

 my thoughts. I appreciate all my critters, and there is sometimes that bitterness that comes when you have to sell someone but three homes since July is kinda bad luck for poor old Pepper. (I still say he's haunted lol)

Aw poor fella. Which fox is pepper? I've lost track of the ones that float around the DA taxidermy community. I've been wanting to "rescue" a few pelts and such that I've seen but for lack of money and international shipping restrictions, I've been unable to, haha.

I'm more of a 'collector' than a trader or a seller, though I do work on some projects with the intent to sell, I know there's always a chance that they won't sell and in that case I'm more than happy to keep them, lol.

Pepper is the fox in the picture.

And you too? Gah. I try to rescue pelts too, drove me into debt but I know most pelt who do have the ones that need to be rescued charge way too much for them, so I sadly can't buy them. (No way would I pay like... $300 for a wallhanger or stole that just...meh)

Since I have been commissioning fox mounts, I have no intent on sellingvthem so I have them made up how I like, even if it means odd or custome eyes, like my silver with his red eyes. Haha. I buy them with the intent of never reselling, therefore only my opinion matters on how they are mounted lol~

Yeah, same here. A lot of them are going for way more than they're worth, if I was a millionaire I'd have so many random pelts, lol. To me, it just seems so odd to want to sell a commission that you custom ordered for yourself. It's like selling a coat that has your name embroidered on it, it'd be so weird. I'd never want to commission anything without the intent of keeping that piece of art forever.

Seriously. I agree with Kanato. I had Pepper for two years, I have had him the longest out of all of his "owners" except for maybe Leopardpaws herself.

I sold him, regretfully, he stayed at his new home for three weeks before he was being offered to me again for sale. I had a friend who actually wanted him, to retire him so this would stop happening, and wanted a payment plan, she ad a home emergency and couldn't put a downpayment on him so he was sold again. And now he's being offered for more than what I sold him fpr, hell, even bought him for after like what? A month or two?

That and the bullocks of "oh I loved him so much when I forst saw him in LP's gallery" if you say that DO NOT buy him. It only curses yourself. Everyone who says that, buys him, and boo hoos they don't like him as much as they thpught they would, and sell him.

I am so irritated, I love him to death but no way would I pay $525 for him. I didn't even pay $500 for him.

So yes, as much as I loved this fox, Kanato, if you do see him for sale again SCRAP HIM. It is breaking my heart seeing people play hot potato with him.

I don't think I'd have the heart to scrap him.
If I had him, I'd keep him and love him and spoil him. I hope the person that buys him does that.

I just wish I wasn't a teenager buying with allowance and they few commissions I get. I'd never have enough.

Nono. I don't blame anyone, it's like with all things, you sell it or give it to someone it's no longer yours and you have no say so.

So I come to terms with that. Honestly we all used to say Pepper was haunted. :giggle: I wonder if that has something to do with it.
